Who Are You?
We are looking for a Director of Development to join and head our Philanthropy team. This position leads all development strategies with individuals and family foundations, including donor engagement and solicitation, special events, volunteer services, and marketing & communications in support of policies, goals, and objectives of the Wright Foundation.  This position is responsible for developing and implementing annual fundraising, public relations and marketing plans.
Consistently managing a high volume of prospects and doing a high volume of dials.
Hands-on cultivation activity including pipeline management, networking events, personally developed leads, and closes.
Design and execute strategies to achieve short and long-term sustainable philanthropy and engagement goals with individuals and family foundations through annual, major, planned, campaign and corporate giving strategies.
Act as primary advisor and coach on culture of philanthropy, ensuring policies, systems and practices support fund development and stewardship, support senior managers and board members in their development activities.
Spearhead sustainable philanthropy campaigns to expand operating, capital and funding.
Work closely with team members, senior managers and board to ensure strategic direction and ROI on key philanthropic initiatives is supported and communicated.
Manage a leadership donor portfolio, including cultivation, solicitation, closing of gifts, and stewardship.
Oversee departmental technology use, data collection, evaluation, and planning.
Oversee management of gift processing and donor acknowledgement, the donor database, financial reporting, and accompanying information systems.
Other duties as assigned.

What’s required:
At least 5+ years development experience preferred
Bachelor’s degree
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
Ability to work at a high velocity while multi-tasking
Strong in following systems and processes
Understanding and experience in the Benevon® sustainable funding program preferred
Proven track record of fundraising success, particularly by securing major gifts, successfully managing campaigns, and engaging a community of motivated supporters
Extreme tact and discretion, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence
Display a positive attitude, show concern for people and community, demonstrate presence, self-confidence, common sense and good listening ability
