Compensation: $45,000-$60,000

WORK accompanies families out of poverty through good, dignified jobs. We work primarily in landfill communities with informal collectors to improve the dignity and value of human-powered supply chains at the first mile. Our goal is simple, to ensure two heads of household are in living income jobs so that each family can pull themselves out of poverty forever.

Position Overview

WORK is seeking a an Associate, Advisory Practice that will be responsible for providing support to our program team in accompanying our clients through our consulting lifecycle to develop responsible and sustainable supply chains, which will also support the creation of programs, services, and other interventions that support informal waste collectors worldwide. This individual must be a critical thinker, a problem-solver, and have an ability to see the bigger picture to an overall project. This team member will report to our Manager, Advisory Practice.

Responsibilities

Project Management

Demonstrate an ability to understand the big picture of a project’s scope of work.
Assist with the design of the recommended framework determined by the program team for improvement to the client’s supply chain sourcing.
Manage details of each project through participation in meeting discussions and workshopping of concepts and deliverables.
Support the project team to complete details of each project step and lead internal meeting updates, preparing for each workshop to enable the team to move the project forward.
Support the delivery of milestone items and incorporate feedback at the conclusion of each workshop to project updates.
Support the team to deliver on our commitment and in a timely manner
Complete project wrap up and ensure all notes and processes are documented for the team to access in the future.
Deliver a one-pager case summary for our internal team that also adds to our menu of options for future clients.
Collaborate with our program team on the design of deliverables by supporting transitioning copy to slides or reports using our design templates.
Deliver on project outcomes showcasing established expertise in human powered raw material supply chains

Support program team with the assessment of our clients’ supply chains and their sustainability practices.
Conduct due diligence research at the commencement of a project, reporting  back to the project team on findings to confirm work plans and help structure client kick off meetings.
Translate the working process and milestones to slides for client updates, ensuring we’re getting necessary feedback and building client confidence in the process.
Workshop and deliver on project outputs, which might include drafting of project deliverables, summarizing deliverables in meeting presentations, and hosting learning sessions for our team.
At the delivery of a project, serve as a point of quality control on our outputs with clients.
Represent WORK’s expertise and values externally in all settings

Experience of customer-centric project management practices.
Have a basic knowledge of sustainability practices and have an understanding of how supply chains function.

Technical Experience – We operate on Google Drive and Suite, Asana, and Slack. You’re familiar with these platforms or you can get up to speed by watching online tutorials.
Effective Communicator – You’re an active listener and an effective communicator.
Education and Experience – You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field or related, equivalent work experience in relevant fields.
Travel and Flexible Schedule – Regular travel internationally and to various US-cities along with working some evenings and weekends will be required.
Location

WORK operates in a hybrid work environment, at a minimum of 40% in office and 60% remote. Candidates should be able to participate in-office from either our Los Angeles or Pittsburgh office locations.
