LOCATION: Washington DC preferred  (Remote)

The Global Good Fund is a fully remote team with most staff located in the DC, MD, and VA areas. The preferred location for the Development Manager in Washington DC, NY, or FL.


The Global Good Fund is a leadership development enterprise built by and for social entrepreneurs. We recognize that talent is evenly distributed, but opportunity is not. We do this by identifying high-potential leaders and providing them with a one-year Fellowship, distinguished mentors and coaches, a peer cohort of exceptional leaders, and capital.


The Global Good Fund is seeking a resourceful individual to support the development team.  The Development Manager will report to the Senior Director of Business Development.  The Development Manager will manage and support development efforts to raise both operational and programmatic funds, ensuring that The Global Good Fund supports more social entrepreneurs annually.  Responsibilities include the following:

Special Events

  • Coordinate special events, including event planning and event execution (i.e. logistics, invitations, RSVPs, etc.)
  • Support fundraising efforts for the annual Spring Gala, silent auction, golf tournament, winery events, and propose new fundraising event ideas


Major Gifts and Grants

  • Research new foundation, grant and individual leads
  • Support preparation of grant reports and proposals
  • Track deadlines and grant submissions and reporting calendar
  • Work with the marketing and communications team to develop fundraising materials


Online and End of Year Campaigns 

  • Support online giving efforts such as peer to peer fundraising
  • Support production of year-end campaign appeal
  • Manage profiles and relationships with vendors or online giving partners such as Charity Navigator, Benevity, Guidestar, etc.


Other Areas Of Focus

  • Manage acknowledgments process
  • Track and manage all fundraising metrics and dashboards
  • Manage and organize the development department files drive and update documents as needed
  • Work with the finance/operations team to ensure smooth systems between development and finance


Technologies We Use

  • Salesforce, One Cause, and Google docs
  • 10% of time dedicated to managing data, including data entry & reporting



  •  3 to 5 years of relevant work experience required
  • Previous sales, business development, or fundraising experience required
  • Familiarity or experience in the social entrepreneurship sector preferred
  • Demonstrates a “growth mindset”, eager to test new ideas
  • Functions effectively within a remote team structure

Salary Range 

$60,000 – $70,000
