About the Advancement Assistant

The Smithsonian’s National Postal Museum seeks an enthusiastic and detailed-focused Advancement Assistant to provide support to the advancement team. The position provides technical and administrative support and will assist with a full range of advancement functions including drafting documents and presentations, conducting donor research, implementing various appeal campaigns, assisting with donor events and board meetings; as well as performing data management, gift processing, and other related administrative tasks.

Qualified candidates will successfully demonstrate strong communications skills, an ability to successfully manage multiple deadlines, superior organization skills, and a thirst for learning. Attention to detail and an intuitive administrative aptitude are essential. Experience in a large, complex non-profit organization preferred.
