The Associate Director of Planned Giving is responsible for operating a comprehensive planned giving marketing program, which results in funds raised through the identification and cultivation of outright, irrevocable, and revocable deferred gifts. Responsibilities include developing marketing material, e-newsletters, and the website for the targeted constituencies. The Associate Director of Planned Giving spearheads the online presence of the planned giving efforts. Creates content and design; coordinates all aspects of mailings, including working with the annual fund team for direct response mailings and email marketing campaigns. Partners with the Dean of the College of Education and Human Development to assist with the college leadership council and alumni events for the college.
Required Qualifications:
Experience in major gift or annual giving fundraising is highly desired.
Must be self-motivated, self-managed, able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, and have outstanding organizational abilities, good judgment, and strong ethics. Proficiency in using a computer database and PC software is highly desirable. Familiarity with Raiser’s Edge fundraising software is a plus. Proven ability to build relationships. Must demonstrate strong communication skills, written and verbal. Strategic thinker.

Experience working in higher education or similar setting
