Help provide programming, care and activities for MCC service worker’s children as their parents participate in orientation and prepare for their international assignments. This is a paid 3-week opportunity to help support and prepare children about to move to an international context. Dates for 2023 are July 17-August 4.
The hours are Monday through Friday, 8:15 am – 12:15 and 1:00 to 5:15 pm. Lunch is provided.
Specific Tasks and Duties:
1. Provide attentive, nurturing, and creative care for children of participating families in MCC orientation training events or other MCC events as requested.
2. Help guide and carry out children’s activities as directed by the Children’s Orientation Coordinator, the Training & Development Coordinator and/or other MCC staff.
3. Complete MCC training on Safeguarding and follow MCC’s practices and policies related to safeguarding including reporting of any concerns.
4. Provide diligent oversight to the care and safety of children participating in MCC events.
5. Communicate with parents of participating children with a Customer Service mindset with compassion and respect.
6. Assist with preparation and clean-up of Children’s Orientation rooms.
7. Provide childcare for other MCC guests as requested.
