Youth Outreach Coordinator
GAIN YOUTH DEVELOPMENT & COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT SKILLS – GET COLLEGE CREDIT – RECEIVE $6,500 IN TUITION REIMBURSEMENT
This position is available at the Frank Callen Boys & Girls Club in cooperation with AmeriCorps VISTA. Boys & Girls Clubs are one of the oldest and most effective youth development organizations in the nation. Opened in 1917, the Frank Callen Boys & Girls Club serves 600 low income youth each year in our mission to help those who need us the most to to be all they can be and achieve a bright future.
You can make a difference for disadvantaged Savannah boys and girls as part of our youth outreach for preventing youth gang joining program.
You’ll receive training in why youth join gangs, how to reach out to youth, in mentoring programs, Boys & Girls Club processes and more, and will work alongside others who have committed to this important and exciting project for Savannah.
You’ll participate in outreach to schools, community groups, kids groups and events to help us engage the hardest to reach and most at-risk youth, all with the help of dedicated and experienced support mentors. We’ll help you develop your skills for future work in this year long, full time position.
