Case Manager

FamilyAid (FA) is Greater Boston’s leading provider of solutions to family homelessness. Its mission is to empower parents and caregivers facing homelessness to secure and sustain housing and build strong foundations for their children’s futures.
The hundred‐plus year‐old agency has launched bold new strategies to reduce two generation homelessness by dramatically increasing its prevention, housing and supportive services for children and parents, putting the organization on a fast‐growth trajectory.
To support these strategies, the agency seeks a dynamic, driven Case Manager to lead the agency’s work with homeless families with children, through housing search, placement, and stabilization case management.
The Case Manager will provide housing search, placement and stabilization case management incorporating 2-generation services to precariously housed, doubled up and homeless families. Will serve as the primary point of contact for families being served through FA’s emergency refugee response initiative.
The Case Manager will provide high-touch services to families at or just after intake from FA’s hospital partners. Families served through this program will require intense support to acclimate and navigate the emergency shelter program.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, 3-5 years of social work experience, demonstrated success in applying evidence-based practices including Trauma-Informed Care, critical time intervention and motivational interviewing. Professional experience with housing, schools, and hospital settings is highly desired.
Strong computer skills, including familiarity with management information systems and/or database programs are required. Ability to work in office and field-based settings with a diverse, homeless population. Flexibility and compassion are essential.
FamilyAid’s supportive, collaborative, and diverse workplace is an ideal work environment for experienced, result-oriented professionals who are driven to help children and families thrive. The agency supports professional growth, and offers competitive salaries, health, and dental plans, an employer-contributed 403b retirement plan, and a generous paid time off package.
Work Schedule and Conditions: Full-time on-site position 40 hours/week. Monday through Friday, with some start time flexibility.
FamilyAid’s Covid vaccine policy requires that all employees have received primary dosage series at time of hire.
To apply: Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Please send your cover letter and resume to hr@familyaidboston.org
