A great way to get involved with YNPNsfba and meet other volunteers is to join YNPNsfba Volunteer
Corps. Gain professional development skills and network with peers in the nonprofit sector. As a
volunteer your responsibilities may include:
- Attending monthly meetings with your coordinating team
- Attending and helping facilitate programs and/or events
- Participating in regular email correspondence
- Commitment to at least one year of service as a volunteer
Our current YNPNsfba Program Areas are as follows:
Professional Development
- Professional Development Director – Set priorities and revenue strategy; Convene team meetings and report metrics to Board Vice Chair
- Networking Manager – Develop programmatic strategy and budgeting for all networking events such as: happy hour, book club discussion, trivia night, service project, speed networking, etc.
- Education Manager – Develop programmatic strategy and budgeting for all education events, skills-based training and/or thematic panel discussions
- Special Projects Manager – Develop programmatic strategy and budgeting for all special projects (outside Networking and Education realm)
- Coordinators – Entry-level volunteer position where you can work with Networking, Education or Special Projects to support their objectives and plan assignments and events accordingly
Information
- Information Director – Set priorities for data collection and analysis, for integrating findings throughout printed materials, talking points, and internal decision-making; Convene team meetings and report metrics to Board Vice Chair
- Data Manager – Create and maintain data collection tools (event evaluations, annual community survey, member satisfaction surveys) and reporting tools (dashboard) across the organization;
- Technology Manager – Gather requirements and innovate solutions for internal systems (ie intranet, file sharing) and external offerings (i.e. webinars, listserv alternatives)
- Technology Coordinator – Coordinate web projects (major website updates, introduction of new technologies such as webinars or listserv alternative) across roles or areas
- Data Coordinator – Implement data collection and reporting tools (directly working with other roles); Analyze data and communicate key findings via reporting tools (ie dashboard)
Relationship Management
- Relationship Management Director – Set priorities regarding brand strategy, revenue strategy, and staffing/talent strategy; Convene team meetings and report metrics to Board Vice Chair
- Talent Manager – Work with the directors to facilitate volunteer recruitment, act as the “expert” on volunteer and HR issues, maintain volunteer information
- Membership Manager – Develop and implement overall membership strategy, work with education and networking teams to develop high value membership events
- Development Manager – Proactively develop relationships with strategic partners. Develop fundraising campaigns soliciting community, alum network and volunteers
- Communications and Marketing Manager - Set overall marketing and communications strategy, create collateral materials. Promote YNPNsfba through the website, list serve and social networking program
- Coordinators – Entry-level volunteer position where you can work with Talent, Membership, Development or Communication and Marketing Manager to support their objectives and plan assignments and events accordingly.
