Join the Board

Want to join the YNPN Puget Sound advisory board? Great! Right now we need more board members to help lead the organization. Board service is a lot of fun, but also a lot of work. Before filling out the application form, please ask yourself if you have the time, energy, and passion to commit to all of the following types of activities for at least one year. Full-time students are not eligible for board memberships, but may serve on committees. Current committees include Finance, Programming, Technology, and Communications/Promotions.

  • Preparing for and participating in monthly board meetings plus occasional committee meetings
  • Helping to recruit and train new board members and volunteers
  • Generously contributing personal and financial resources as circumstances allow
  • Making connections in the local nonprofit community for YNPN and our members

Application Process

The first step is to complete the board application form on this page. Current board members will review your information, and if your skills and experience sound like a good fit for our needs, you will be invited to attend an orientation session. This session will provide you with tons of information on the structure of the organization, its governance policies, and what it’s like to be a board member. We’ll also discuss chapter goals and challenges, and what you hope to bring to the table and get out of your experience as a board member. If you like what you hear during orientation, the full board will take a vote on your membership at their next meeting.

To apply for a board position, please complete the form below. Once we receive your application, one of our current board members will follow up with you as soon as possible.
