Committee Job Description
• Attend monthly meetings from May – October (2 hours per month)
• Recruit additional committee members as needed (ongoing)
• Promote and raise public awareness of event (ongoing)
• Recruit volunteers for day of event as needed (ongoing)
• Attend and support the Portraits of Opportunity event on Thursday, October 25, 2012 from 6-9 pm at Memorial Hall at Steele Indian School Park (3 hours)
Each committee member will provide support in at least two of the following areas:
• Seek and recruit new sponsors through personal and/or professional connections
• Assist with ticket sales through personal and/or professional connections
• Help in the procurement of auction items through referrals or direct asks
• Help in the procurement of in-kind donations though referrals or direct asks

Volunteer Opportunity Title: May Ronald McDonald House (Roanoke) Dinner

Thank you for your interest in sponsoring a family dinner at the Ronald McDonald House! Volunteer groups plan the menu, purchase the food, cook and serve the meal, and clean the kitchen afterwards. It is one of the few activities at the House that offers volunteers the opportunity to interact with families staying here. The group is invited to eat with the families and tour the House that evening.

Last minute call for volunteers for Walk With Me this Saturday, May 5, from 6pm-11am. Volunteers are needed to direct participants from the park entrances; guide walkers around the route; assist in activities for children; and help with the set up and breakdown of the event.
Volunteers can work from 6-9am or 8:30-11:30am or both shifts.
Volunteers can enjoy beverages from Starbucks and food from Sweet Tomatoes.
Walk With Me raises funds for children with disabilities and 100% of the funds raised stay local and benefit Easter Seals Southwest Human Development

If you want to participate in the exciting world of internet radio broadcasting, then Radio Phoenix is looking for you. Volunteers are needed to promote community outreach, speak to the public, attend local music events, conduct interviews with bands and singers, develop radio programs, build web pages, analyze and catalogue in-coming music, do data entry from home, and work in the studio. We are particularly looking for out-going folks for fairs, festivals, and First Fridays; grant writers; fund raisers; radio engineers; computer engineers; and people with good radio voices. We will prepare you for internet radio through personalized classes and training. Volunteer orientation meetings every third Sunday at our studios at the Phoenix Center for the Arts, 1202 North 3rd Street, Phoenix at 1:30.
