In this informative session, we will hear from Jim Stratton, the Executive Director of the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Scottsdale Foundation, about how to better work with boards and how to be more effective board members. The opportunity to discover open board positions within Valley nonprofits will also be offered.

Salon and Sip Discussion Club
The Salon and Sip Discussion Clubs next topic is going to be leadership. In an attempt to break from the standard leadership theory reads we have decided to go with “Cesar Chavez: An Autobiography of La Causa” as our guiding book for the discussion. Take some time to learn about this great civil rights leader from our own backyard and how he led a powerful movement. Then watch out for our weekly Friday posting on the topic of leadership and join us June 5th at 6pm at Sun Up Brewery for some fun, drinks and quality discussion about this amazing leader. The book is about $20 and will probably have to be ordered as it’s older. Please email membership@ynpnphoenix.orgif you would like to get in on our group order happening next week.
