YNPN Phoenix (Young Nonprofit Professionals Network) is a professional development and social networking organization for young nonprofit professionals in Metro Phoenix.

YNPN Phoenix, Who We Are…

YNPN Phoenix provides professional development and networking for young nonprofit professionals, emerging leaders and community activists in Metro Phoenix.

Our mission is to cultivate a supportive and collaborative nonprofit sector. Our programming focus areas include Collaboration, Cross-Generational Conversation, Advocacy, Public Relations and Professional Standards.

Through more than a dozen programs each year, we provide a space for our Valley’s best and brightest to learn, grow and connect. Our programs are free for members and a suggested $10 donation for guests (unless otherwise noted).

Annual membership is $45, or $15 per year if you are a student or AmeriCorps member. Additional member benefits include invitations to exclusive events, discounts on select partner offers and programs, and more!

YNPN Phoenix Book Club is new and improved! Announcing the Salon and Sip Club. Like Book Club the new discussion club will focus on a topic relevant to the mission of YNPN Phoenix. Unlike traditional book club we are going beyond our highlighted book and getting more in depth with weekly articles, blogs, video postings and highlighting nonprofits that work on the topic. So if you can’t read the book that’s okay. You can still jump in on the discussion.

 

Our first topic of discussion will be Building a Sustainable Phoenix guided by the book Bird on Fire by Andrew Ross. First meeting is March 13th 6pm at SunUp Brewery. So get the book, check out our Friday article posting via Facebook and the website and see you in March for some lively discussion in a fun environment.

Thursday, February 2, 5:30 – 9PM at the beautiful Steele Indian School Park, Memorial Hall, in Central Phoenix!

Featuring keynote speaker, Trish Tchume, the first-ever Director of YNPN National!

Trish, who served as volunteer for YNPN National for over 8 years before becoming its first paid director, will help recognize the winners of our YNPN Phoenix Leadership Awards and share her thoughts on how emerging leaders are uniting their efforts across the country to create incredible impact in the social sector.

YNPN National, named as “Nonprofit to Watch in 2012” by the Chronicle of Philanthropy, provides support and resources for 34 local YNPN networks across the country, representing over 30,000 young nonprofit professionals.

Don’t miss this opportunity to hear from a national movement leader while honoring outstanding local leaders in three categories, the Pay-It-Forward Award, the Cross-Sector Collaborator Award, and the Young Nonprofit Professional of the Year Award.

YNPN Phoenix Members are invited to attend the Third Annual Member Retreat, Friday evening, August 26, through Sunday noon, August 28, at the beautiful Jackpot Ranch in Camp Verde, AZ!

The Member Retreat is your opportunity to provide guidance to the YNPN Phoenix Board of Directors on how we can best serve young nonprofit professionals. You will also be asked to consider how you can help build our growing community of emerging leaders!

The retreat is also your chance to decompress from the daily stresses of working life! Whether you take a dip in the swimming pond, enjoy guided morning yoga, battle it out at ping-pong in the game room, or partake in a sunset glass of wine, the cool temps and beautiful setting of the Verde Valley will leave you relaxed and rejuvenated.

In addition to the “work” and the FUN, the YNPN Phoenix Member retreat will include time for personal reflection on your passion and purpose for serving our community, and time for getting to know your fellow members on a deeper level.
