YNPN Cleveland promotes the growth, learning, and development of young professionals in nonprofit Cleveland. We engage and support future nonprofit leaders through professional development, networking and social opportunities designed for young people involved in the nonprofit community. This slideshow gives an introduction to Cleveland’s nonprofit sector.

YNPN Cleveland’s objectives are to provide opportunities for you, the nonprofit professional, to develop your job and leadership skills through workshops and training, to expand your social network by meeting with like-minded individuals, and to promote the Cleveland area as a great place to live and work.

Networking. We host happy hours and other social events to get to know others in the local sector, trade information on jobs, organizations, and upcoming events. Check out this online slideshow of YNPN Cleveland, Year One. Want to collaborate with us on a happy hour? Let us know.

Professional development. We work with sector leaders to conduct workshops and seminars on topics like career development, fundraising, and management, as well as discussion groups on important trends in the sector. Have an idea for a workshop topic? Tell us.

Volunteer opportunities. We not only provide information about upcoming volunteer opportunities, but we also organize group volunteer events and other ways you can get directly involved in Cleveland’s nonprofit community. Got an upcoming volunteer opportunity at your organization? Contact us.

Resources. We regularly update our online resources to keep YNPN Cleveland members informed about jobs, events, and other news in the Cleveland and larger nonprofit communities. Did you see a news story you’d like to share? Send it our way.

Membership is free, and anyone interested in strengthening the nonprofit sector is welcome to join. Our members include recent college graduates, mid-career professionals who are new to the nonprofit sector, and others who are committed to the future of the sector. If you’d like to take on a leadership role within YNPN Cleveland, fill out our Open Committee Positions form.

“This is a great opportunity for Clevelanders to match up with others who share their passions and possibly start up new non-profit opportunities in the region.”
